Tense (Definition in Hindi) – 

Tense किसी कार्य के समय और इसकी पूर्णता या अपूर्णता का बोध कराता हैं।

Tense के प्रकार  - 

1. वर्तमान काल ( Present Tense)
2. भूतकाल (Past Tense)
3. भविष्य काल ( Future Tense)

• वर्तमान काल (Present Tense) (कार्य हो रहा है) - Today - इसके अन्‍तर्गत कार्य का बोध अभी से होता है नाकि आने वाले कल से और ना ही बीते हुए कल से होता है। 
• भूतकाल (Past Tense) (कार्य समाप्‍त हो गया है) - Yesterday - इसके अन्‍तर्गत कार्य का बोध कल से होता है नाकि आने वाले कल से और ना ही अभी से होता है। 
• भविष्‍य काल (Future Tense) (कार्य होने वाला है) - Tomorrow - इसके अन्‍तर्गत कार्य का बोध आने वाले कल से होता है नाकि अभी और ना ही बीते हुए कल से होता है।

Past	ता था, ती थी, ते थे Did	रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे Was/Were	चुका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे Had	रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे + समय के साथ Had been
Future	गा, गी, गे Shall/ Will	रहा होगा, रही होगी, रहे होंगे Shall be/Will be	चुका होगा, चुकी होगी, चुके होंगे Shall have/Will have	रहा होगा, रही होगी, रहे होंगे + समय के साथ Will/Shall have been

प्रत्‍येक Tense को अलग-अलग चार भागों में बॉटा गया है -

1. Indefinite Tense / Indefinite Tense (सामान्य काल )
2. Continuous Tense (अपूर्ण काल )
3. Perfect Tense ( पूर्ण कॉल )
4. Perfect Continuous Tense ( पूर्व निरंतर काल )

1. Present Tense (वर्तमानकाल) - 

(ता है, ती है, ते है और आदत वाले वाक्‍य)

1. Present Indefinite Tense (सामान्‍य वर्तमान काल)
2. Present Continuous Tense (अपूर्ण वर्तमान काल)
3. Present Perfect Tense (पूर्ण वर्तमान काल)
4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense (पूर्ण तत्‍कालिक वर्तमान काल)

2. Past Tense (भूतकाल) - 

(ता था, ती थे, ते थे)
